Summer Program

We want your child’s summer program to run as smoothly as possible and we also want you the parent to know your child is getting the best of what we offer. For these reasons, we have compiled some important information in this package. Description of the Space:

ACD Playspace staff will have a clean space available for the children when they arrive.  Children will have access to all equipment, storage for meals, and snacks will be provided. ACD offers a well-rounded program of fun and enriching activities for young children. Kids will explore and develop skills in various disciplines, drawing and painting, arts and crafts, theatre, reading, story-telling, creative STEAM activities, and more. This is also balanced with plenty of fun creative play, games, and other entertaining and cheerful activities.

All curriculum creation and writing for each Class will be covered by ACD Playspace. Children will enjoy daily age appropriate academic worksheets, such as Math enrichment, Reading focus as well as enrichment programs with our weekly themed Camp.

  • Meals are not provided, so each child should bring his or her own lunch and water bottle.

  • We offer flexible registration options to meet your needs. You can sign up for full session of 8 weeks, weekly or daily if available . We can accommodate Early Drop Off/Late Pick Up options for an additional fee.

  • Create many arts and craft projects through drawing, painting by using child-friendly tools such as pencils, crayons, acrylics, pastels, collage, paper, and canvas

  • Develop engineering and building skills through creative STEAM activities

Expectations and Rules

  • Behavior: Our goal is to provide a safe, positive learning environment for all our campers. 

    Medical Conditions/Medications: Medical Forms must be provided and will be kept on site in your child's Camp Folder. Please inform the ACD front office staff of any special circumstances your child(ren) may have. Allergy medications only, must be delivered to the front desk in a bag with the child(ren)'s name(s) on it with detailed written instructions. Especially in the case of any allergic reactions, those instructions should include who to contact and any immediate action that needs to be taken.

  • Summer Day Camp will accommodate well (not sick) children only.

  • Sign In / Out: Campers must be signed in and out of Day Camp by an authorized adult each day.

    Non-Parental Pick-Up / Carpooling: If your child(ren) will be riding with a friend, neighbor, nanny or relative, please bring the front desk a note detailing the person's name, address, cell or home phone number and the dates the note is good for. All notes must be signed and dated. The person picking up your child(ren) must show identification at the front desk before signing the child(ren) out of their classroom(s).

  • Clothing: Art and other activities are sometimes messy! Children should wear comfortable, washable clothing suitable for painting and/or movement. In addition to our routine hygiene maintenance and procedures, we require children to wear socks at all times, we have a shoe-free environment policy. 

  • Food/Lunch: Every child should bring their own Lunch in a labeled Lunch Box & their own labeled Water Bottle! No food will be shared with other children. 

  • Snacks: There is time set aside in each camp session, twice per day, for your child(ren) to play and enjoy a snack and a drink. Please do not send items that need to be refrigerated. Water, healthy snacks, and organic juice will be provided. SNACKS OR FOOD CONTAINING NUT PRODUCTS ARE NOT ALLOWED AND WILL BE CONFISCATED.

  • Photo/Video Release *

     I hereby give permission for my child to be photographed/videoed during the selected ACD Summer Camp. I understand the photos/videos will be used to keep a journal of activities, to share presentations and/or reports for promotional and advertisement purposes including flyers, brochures, newspaper, and on the internet. I understand that although my child’s photograph rarely may be used for advertising, his or her identity will not be disclosed, I do not expect compensation and that all photos are the property of ACD Playspace.

  • ACD Playspace and its staff are not responsible for lost or damaged personal property. All scheduled Day Camp activities are subject to change. I understand that no fees will be refunded or transferred unless a child is unable to participate due to an accident or illness per physician orders and with prior notice.
